He needed a place that was quiet, badly. His head flustered with pressure, everything felt hazy in a surreal way. It wasn't a physical sort of hazy, his vision was clear, he could move and coordinate just fine. Physically, there weren't any problems, but even so, everything felt... off. On the surface, nothing seemed wrong, yet at the same time everything felt wrong. He was trapped in a purgatory-like state between two different states of mind, one broken and one whole.
The academy and its people were all fine, they were hanging out, going to class, it was normal. He was normal. But in the back of his head, there were this vague.... thought? Dream? Memory? A cloudy and distorted concept of something horrifying. What it was, exactly, he couldn't tell. All he could decipher from it was a scene of chaos, a giant source of unfathomable energy going off, the combined terror and confusion of a crowd of people, a flash of a new source of energy consuming the people, then... silence. It wasn't like a full memory or idea, more of a concept. Everything besides that was enveloped in haze. The more he tried to think about it, the haze would just grow thicker and his brain hurt more. But he couldn't just abandon this concept for some reason, it was sticking to him. All he wanted now was to leave it, to forget about it so he could feel at ease again.
So, Aster slowly and quietly walked into the conservatory. Nobody else was there at the time, which was just fine. The outdoor building, the fresh plants, the calm and serene atmosphere would hopefully influence his state of mind and help him. He tried his best not to stare at his feet or blankly in front of him, and instead looked at the various plants as he walked by. He slowed to a halt as he got to the small makeshift pond where the aquatic plants grew. Aster took a few deep breaths as he stared at the clean water and the different types of aquatic plants, feeling the pressure start to slowly relieve itself as his shoulders relaxed.
