Like water, the crowds of students would flow through the cafeteria. Lines jutted out from in front of various windows that offered a rather expansive array of food. Students bumped shoulders, people laughed or found their usual corners to sit in. If one were to scan, they might see a girl with short-cut, messy, pink hair. She usually hated to be in this place, hustle and bustle never quite suited her. She'd always gravitate to the quiet corner or secluded spot...yet- one of the easiest places to conceal yourself was in a crowd. She wasn't packing much this time, just a two grams of weed she was able to sneak on campus. She even had a minor bruise on her face to prove it. Of course, where there was youth, there was someone who wanted weed. Especially the cheap, skunky stuff.
She sat at her table, tray resting with an untouched slice of pizza, tapping her finger impatiently. This kid was late, and she wanted to get out of here. Finally, though, a rather shaggy and lanky student came waltzing up to her. A familiar face. She reached into her pocket, holding the two dime-bags with her thumb and offering one of many different shakes that pervaded her old neighborhood. The other guy went for a fist bump. After a second she reached out with her other hand, flipped the kid's over and dropped the bags in it with a huff. Before holding her own hand, palm up and waiting. The kid coughed up the price of admission and she was about to stuff the dollars into her pocket when a commotion was heard just a couple seats over from her.
Before she got the chance to look and see, a piece of bread and ham beaned her in the back of the head, with a good bite of mashed potatoes landing in her lap. At first, her face turned red as she looked to where the culprit was, ignoring a slight twitch in her right hand that had pink and blue wisps dancing around and up her arm. Then she heard him speak. A huge grin formed on Hanna's face as she grabbed her own slice of pizza and in a very theatrical fashion, attempted to frisbee it directly at Barry's face, finishing up her rather graceful form by speaking up
"Pizza time!"
