Brief Description of Gifts:
[ENERGY REDIRECTION] - The ability to absorb and redirect energy that is passed through the body. This includes (but is not necessarily limited to) kinetic, sonic, electromagnetic, radioactive, and thermal energy.
Though the gift can develop to include a broad scope of energies to be redirected in many directions, as an unskilled user, he is only able to reliably redirect kinetic energy in the equal and opposite direction (so try not to throw sharpened pencils in his direction).
In a moment of anger while digging a slice of bread out of the toaster with a knife, he was once briefly able to redirect electricity. It seems that this is how his gift was discovered by his mother.
Notes:
- Gift is presumed to have been inherited from his unknown father, since both his mother and grandmother, who raised him, are blanks. He is very touchy about it.
- Before arriving in Rosebury, he lived in the center of a large and active industrial city. As his mother and grandmother were unable to join him in moving, he is often homesick and is dealing with significant culture shock.
- Was a problem child in his youth, being very hyperactive and unable to sit still. His more recent school records show a myriad of reports from his educators, including a lack of motivation, forgetfulness, and an amazing ability to focus on everything except his studies.
