Welp. [Open]

A student with an obscenely large coffee blinked at the doll he had considered to be some child’s missing toy. But as it began to move, Felix simply muttered. ”Some idiot student really went out and created Pikachu. Then left him here.” Taking a large sip, the boy prodded it with his foot.

Felix blinked, then burst out laughing. ”What a stupid fucking accent.” Felix crouched down to Grant’s level. ”Lola Gardener. She’s the headmaster. Dunno why you would want to know. You’re just an itty bitty Pikachu that smells like alcohol.”

”Depends. Are we being nihilistic?” He quipped before taking a loud sip of coffee. ”2020. Are you one of those world hoppers?” He asked.

Caine sauntered through the campus, looking as if he had nothing to do, when in fact he was probably late for some meeting. He was exceedingly bad at making sure he was on time for anything faculty related. His usual pressed button down had the top few buttons undone and he looked like he hadn't slept because he had not. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sigh of a student kicking something around and thought little of it. That was until an inhuman voice protested the efforts. Immediately, his gaze snapped to the disheveled pikachu doll. It tottered around with obvious animation. The combat teacher glanced at the student, hoping this was some strange power, and quickly realized the look across the boy's face told a different story.

Whatever meeting was awaiting his presence would be put on hold. Strange possessed doll would take precedence. His pace became a tad brisker as he approached. Caine stared down at creature as it conversed back and forth with the student. He glanced between the two, finally grinding out a confused question, "What the hell is this?"

"It's a...aa..." He narrowed his eyes. "Uh... What are you?" Felix blinked then chuckled to himself. "Whose that Pokemon?"

Caine, still baffled by the sheer absurdity of the moment, looked down at the pitiful thing that was Grant as he bashed his head repeatedly into the ground. A Pokemon? Yeah, he'd seen something like this at the store maybe. But why was a doll having a existential crisis on school grounds. Rather unceremoniously, the man bent over and snatched him up from the back and dangled him in the air for a moment before dropping him back down, "Stop doing that." He then turned to Felix, "Do you know what is going on here?" A pause, "Do you have a class to be at or something?" Caine seemingly remembered in that moment he was supposed to be something of an authority figure, and yet, failed to recall where he was supposed to be in that moment.

"Free Period." Felix smirked, waving around his coffee. "I'm the school nurse, so I get a few periods off." He took another long sip and glanced between the two. "You know him, teacherman?" He asked, laughing to himself. "You know a depressed Pikachu?"

"Uh.. huh," was all Caine managed in response to Felix. Given the boy's position, he should have already known that, but it was hard to think straight when staring down at a speaking stuffed animal. There were somethings that still manged to be shocking, even in the gifted community, and this happened to be one of them. It sung a half familiar song before stopping as its face lit up with as much expression as a fabricated doll could possibly have. Caine blinked in surprise as it spoke his name, seemingly recognizing him. These were some nonsensical, surreal questions this Pikachu was asking. Not enough coffee had been had to deal with this shit. He looked to Felix again, "I think i'd remember being friends with a depressed doll."

A sigh left the sides of his mouth as he clutched his teeth together, mostly frustrated with his own confusion. After a pause, he spoke decidedly, "I don't know who you are, but I'll feel a lot better speaking to some plushie after a drink or two. Let's go Pikachu." He turned, prepared to walk away before remembering he should probably say something to Felix, "I'll take care of this. You go, uh, study... or something useful."
